KeyFramer™ is a stand alone application designed to create Boris FX™ native video effects off line using any Power Macintosh computer.
When KeyFramer™ is launched, you'll be presented with the same Boris FX™ main panel as in the plug-in version entered from M100, Premiere or Composer/Xpress.
You can load and save keyframe settings in the same manner possible with the plug-in. Make sure that you save settings before exiting Keyframer or they will be lost.
Saved settings files can be loaded in the Boris FX plug-in for effects rendering.
Memory Requirements.
KeyFramer™ is set with memory partition size at 5.5M which will accomodate most image processing situations. It can be changed up or down by selecting the Keyframer icon at the Finder level and pressing Command-I to get into the file info window. (Note: Particle effects will require about 5 more Megs than the default memory partition)
Effect Duration.
KeyFramer™ provides an additional window for setting effect duration, this is not saved with the settings file. This duration is normaly set in the host application when using the plug-in version.
Distribution.
KeyFramer™ can be duplicated and distributed free of charge. Actual effect rendering requires Artel's Boris FX™ 3.5 or later, working from within a host application.
Current Limitation: When a keyframe setting file is double-clicked, the KeyFramer™ is launched but the setting is not loaded. Load the setting by selecting Open Settings in the File menu and finding the setting you wish to load.
